Dear Parents,

​

We are looking forward to spending another amazing summer together with your children. Please find helpful information on this page and let us know if any questions or concerns come up. 

 

If your child has any special challenges or conditions (i.e. social, behavioral or allergies), please bring them to our attention before camp begins as it will allow us to address these needs properly and eliminate unnecessary difficulties.

Safety

 

• Camp begins daily at 9:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. Please be prompt with drop off and pick up times. To assure your child is adequately supervised, please avoid dropping off your child earlier than 9:00 a.m. (There is early drop off & after-care available.)

​

• Please be sure to bring along your child's completed medical form on his/her first day of camp.

 

• When dropping off or picking up your child, please circle around the traffic island in front of the main door. A staff member will greet your child and escort them to the appropriate place or into the vehicle.

​

• Sun Lotion must be applied at home before camp starts, on any exposed part of the body. Please send along a labeled bottle of lotion to be reapplied throughout the day. Please have all swim gear, swim shoes, accessories, etc. marked with permanent ink or labels to avoid loss.

 

• A certified lifeguard and swim instructor (in addition to counselors) supervise swimming. While off camp grounds on field trips, contact is maintained with base camp by means of mobile communication. In case of a medical emergency, G-d forbid, parents (or guardian) and family doctor (listed on the registration papers) will be contacted immediately.

• Children will stay hydrated throughout the day with water provided by camp. Your camper may bring along a labeled reusable water bottle if they’d like. Please leave personal toys at home.

 

• Busses are used for Trip Transportation. 

 

• As an extra safety measure, the camp t-shirt must be worn on all camp trips. If you would like additional t-shirts, there will be some available to purchase in our camp office. 

 

• In order for campers to be able to participate in all activities, it is crucial that they wear a pair of gym shoes in camp. NO FLIP FLOPS.

​

• Cellular telephones are often given to children as a safety measure. At CGI children may not have a cell phone. If a parents wants to send their child with a cell phone to CGI it should be dropped off with the Head Counselor upon arrival and picked up from the Head Counselor at dismissal.

Please apply your children with sun lotion before arriving to camp. Also, please send along a labeled bottle of lotion, to be applied as needed during the day.

 

Please send along diapers, swim diapers & wipes when necessary.

 

Please send with your child a  complete change of clothing (including underwear, socks, top & bottom)

 

Please send a reusable water bottle with child's name on it, to maintain hydration throughout the day.

Carpool Info

​

In order to help ensure safe and convenient pickup and drop off,
we will be implementing the following system.

 

Drop Off - 9:00 am
(Mini Gan Izzy and Camp Gan Israel)

Carpool Option
Use the Car Pool Line (see map Below) to the main entrance where a staff member will be waiting to greet your child, help them out of the car and into the lobby where they will meet their teachers/counselors.

Car Pool Line is for immediate loading and unloading only.
 

Self-Drop Off Option
If you prefer accompanying your child into camp, please use the parking lot behind the Chabad Center (see map Below). 

 

 

 

Pick Up for Mini Gan Izzy - 1:30 pm

Self-Pick Up Only - 
Please use the parking lot behind the Chabad Center (see map Below).

Pick Up for Camp Gan Israel - 3:30 pm

 

At pick up time, your child will be waiting for you in the lobby at the main entrance.

Carpool Option
Use the Car Pool Line (see map Below) to the main entrance where a staff member will get your name and will have your child brought out to you. Car Pool Line is for immediate loading and unloading only. 

 

Self-Pick Up Option 
If you prefer escorting your child from camp, please use the parking lot behind the Chabad Center (see map Below).
